If I need a microSD card for my tablet would this suffice? Is there any advantage to getting a faster card (besides faster transferring of files to the card itself)?

I've never noticed a difference for everyday use on a tablet, like video playback

I would go with a EVO sd card, the 4k read speeds are alot higher, but in general (Web browsing, video playback, word processing) the ultra is pretty good. For single board comouter the evo is the only one that would allow it to function properly along with more expensive SanDisk extreme cards

up to 80 MB/s vs up to 100 MB/s will not make much difference.

If it's unopened, you can return it.

Thanks, just went back to the store and got a price adjustment, no need to return.
