[The Source] Some Photo Paper (Canon and HP) on sale e.g. Canon 8x11 Matte $5.99 instead of $11.99 etc

From time to time I buy photo paper to print photos for family and friends. (Photography is my hobby).
The Source has a sale on photo paper every so often.
This time they've got the following that may be of interest to some of you:

•• Canon MP101LTR Matte Photo Paper - 50 Sheets - 8.5" x 11" [Link >>] ... Had excellent results printing Black & White photos

•• HP Advanced Glossy 4" x 6" Photo Paper - 100 Sheets, now $13.96 (last time it was this much on Amazon was in 2017 [Link >>]

•• Canon PP-301 4x6 Photo Paper Plus Glossy - 50 Sheets -on sale for $8.50 (reg price: $16.99) [link>>]
...ok price, but was going on sale a number of times last year for around $6 or so. This paper is superb! .

I bought some but at London Drugs since it's more convenient for me; they price matched the Source w/o any questions.
You can also likely price beat at Best Buy etc.

Enjoy.

thanks for the great post. I might order some 8.5 x 11

I bought the 50 pack of 4x6 @ 123ink and I find those work great. And they are only 2.39$ for a 50 pack right now. But they don't have a free shipping at the moment so you would hav to pay for shipping.

Oh and if you have an EPP account @ thesource you can get an extra 25% off :)

hey, thanks a lot about sharing re: that premium paper -- never heard of it before but on the box I see it's 68lb / 250g/m² which is pretty much like the HP paper above, but at a fraction of the price. Will order some to try it out.

Also, thanks for the top re: EPP account. Question: can anyone register for that? Will look into that. Thanks

For the EPP/PSP I think if you google it you will find some information. I'm using it with the company I work with but there's other way to get it.

Also I ordered the 8.5 x 11 @ thesource. Came to $4.50 plus tax shipped to the store :) (after the EPP/PSP thing)

I bought the Canon 4X6 100 sheets for around $8 at RCSS here in GTA.

I used my company's PSP and only got 0.42 discount. :( Will try in store and see if I can get a better price.

I decorate my son's room with printouts of screenshots of movies he enjoys (I crop them to fill the whole sheet). I have hp instant ink on the free plan.
Dollarama has "document" size frames that will fit 8.5×11" (used for framing certificates).

Nice. We were doing something similar, and as of recent printing Dinosaurs for cut-outs etc. as our son is in that phase now :)
We bought a Canon MegaTank 2 years ago, and still have more than half ink left. So we've also been doing various "projects" available for download on Canon's web site.

But for the kids' stuff another cheaper alternative that works very well is buying card stock paper and printing with high-quality settings. The results are awesome. And we usually get card stock at Michael's. They've got 50% off on one item every so often.

That 8.5x11 for $5.99 is such a great deal! Going to BB to price later today. Just note, it is NOT real photo paper but very high quality card stock. It's nice and smooth and extremely matte, much more than any other real photo matte paper. I normally use it for less important photos and fun projects.

For those with kids or if you just print a few times a month, especially if you already have a laser printer at home, check out HP's free Instant Ink program. Here is one way to use 8.5x11 and the free ink program: Cheapest Way to Print Photos – How I Saved $550 in Ink

I picked up my order yesterday. Tried to print a 8.5 x 11 and I always get a paper jam.

I have the canon MX922 and it says it's compatible with the mp101 paper. Unless its only the 4x6 paper it doesn't specify

I setup the printer to print on matte paper etc. but always get a paper jam.

Anyone had a tip or trick?. Am I missing something.
