Only the black colour is on sale.

*Update* RED one is now on sale https://www.thesource.ca/en-ca/deal-cen ... /108062161

Here is the official Sony page for this product

Lots of review of the A20 unit here

https://www.amazon.ca/Sony-NWA26HNLM-Wa ... RZ8FQ?th=1

There is a new a30 unit coming out soon that has a touchscreen interface, but according to this review there isn't much difference in terms of sound quality but does offer support for DSD files. A good review showing the differences of both units.

Hi-Res sound over bluetooth? Is that even possible?

According to some people on head-fi, A30 actually has better sound quality than a20. I was planing to buy a30 to replace my ancient z1000 but this surely is tempting.

I think The Source may have changed its policy on those $25 off $100 email coupons because I tried it with multiple e-mails and no coupon came after waiting a couple days.

Not high-res.

There we were able to confirm our doubts regarding LDAC’s true high-res status. It is not high-res audio, a Sony engineer informed us at the Asia-Pacific launched, “we are not claiming it is high-res audio, but that it is close to high-res audio”. He would not quite confirm the word “lossy” as opposed to lossless, but made a point of saying that Sony always includes a qualifier to the high-res claims — in the latest literature this is the word “effectively”, as in the sentence “LDAC effectively maintains the original bit depth and frequency of 24bit/96kHz, delivering a fuller, richer Hi-Res Audio enjoyment”. Completely clear, isn’t it?
I think it's impossible to do high-res audio with the current stereo A2DP profile of Bluetooth. In theory, 16-bit FLAC audio could work or come close, but not 24-bit/96kHz FLAC audio. Also, I think you need to use Sony's speakers/headphones to achieve a bitrate of 990kbps. Typical Sony, always adding something proprietary to their products. It's not possible to achieve a bitrate of 990kbps with non-Sony speakers/headphones.

That's what happens when people join a cult.

Sony has been trying to make money off proprietary components for decades. Some become mainstream, and some disappear screwing over consumers.

Guys, a little help here.
I got the last unit from STC The Source today and just found out that there is no seal on the top of the box.
It's also a little weird that there are dusts on the earbud tips.

Do I get a opened box returned unit or the dust got in by accident and the box doesn't have tape seal in the first place?

Usually when that happens I check unboxing video on youtube to see if there is seal.

Mine did not have a seal on the top but a seal on the bottom. The player had a clear wrap around it and the earphones had a sticky clear wrap on the buds but not the tips. Black twist tie wrapped around the wire. No dust.

Yup, I searched a couple of videos on line and only found the videos for international or Asian packaing which have foil seal.
So can't really tell from those videos.

Thanks. Mine has a seal at the bottom too. I have never bought any gadget without any seal for the boxand my past Sony mp3 players were all properly sealed so this is very strange to me.
