[The Source] The source - Samsung UBD-M7500 4K BR player - $149.99

The Source has the Samsung 4K BR player model UBD-M7500 for $149.99

https://www.thesource.ca/en-ca/tvs-and- ... /108071954

Looks be online stock only (at least in Ottawa)

I priced matched at Best Buy and got $100 plus an extra $10 off the BB price of $249.99 for a price of $139.99 plus tax and eco fee resulting in a total of $161.01.

Are you able to price match with the third party online only stock at best buy?

You mean to have BB pricematch? or do you mean to have TSCC pricematch one of BB's marketplace merchants?
Would say definitely can't PM at BB, as they don't control the third party merchants. The Source, is a YMMV situation.

why just post the model number of the item? Is everyone here fluid on Samsung offerings or just a click bait, like I did?

Use $25 off $100 email coupon code to put the price down to $125 before tax. Even cheaper than BB prime match.

I would say doubtful, their 3rd party members are basically just using their marketplace, like 3rd party Amazon sellers.

There was another thread, where someone posted just the model number of a set of headphones, I thought the same thing and people came to their defense, saying it doesn't take long to click in and read.

price seams pretty decent. Have 4K players been cheaper? is this better than an xbox one x for 4k movie playback in terms of disc load time and accessing disc menus or chapters?

as far as 4k standalone players go, is this the bottom end? what do you get with higher priced units?

is anyone able to run 4k content from a htpc relatively easy (in terms of software and drm)? Are there 4K disk players for the computers??

I had the Philips 4K BR player for $100 from Christmas time, at home, then got the XBOX ONE S and returned the stand alone player. can't comment on the load times, etc. as well don't know anything about this unit in the OP either, but my train of thought was I now had a gaming system, as well as KODI, etc for $130 more than I paid for a stand alone BR player. The Philips player was very plain in terms of smart content, and UI, again, not sure if that is par for BR players, or just that one.
