I think WD has a 2Tb external specifically for xbox ps etc. Though last time I looked it was $140.

That being said, im pretty sure this 4Tb will work.

Not sure but I stopped using WD once they started to be jerks on this kind of stuff.

FYI: sign up for VIP email (bottom of the page) to get a code for an extra $25 of your purchase of $100 or more, which I'd say would elevate this good deal to a truly hot one!

Edit: There've been some reports that the email code won't work, since the item is on sale. YMMV, as I was able to apply the code to a couple Google Home Mini units yesterday without any problem.

How soon do they send the coupon out?

Edit: Never mind, just got it, took maybe 5 mins.

Edit #2: It won't work, it's for regular priced items only...

I am seriously considering this but having a WD drive that is failing not being old and the fact its shipped is making me very weary of buying it.
In fact in Rand McNally they wear hats on their feet and hamburders eat people

That's really strange... I just used that email code to buy a couple Google Home minis just yesterday (which were also on sale).

Sorry to lead you astray!

The fine print also states not applicable to hard drives, is probably why not working.

Yeah, I read that as well. But like I said - it did work with other items that were on sale (pic attached).

Thanks, OP. Had no trouble getting this matched at Best Buy. $98.29/drive - I bought four. I know I'm not supposed to use them in a NAS, but reviews of them for consumer-level basic network storage actually look not bad.

Can you shell the drives from the casings? I know for the portables this is not possible, but I read they are now doing the same with the standard drives.
