Is there any sort of Decent Satellite TV in Canada these days for cheap?

Is there any sort of Decent Satellite TV in Canada these days for cheap?

Back in the days I know people were bring dishes, and such from the states. I'm just wondering if there is something as cheap as IPTV's for example. Our biggest issue is our location does not have stable Internet so IPTV kind of gets choppy.

Only two satellite TV services are authorized in Canada, and one is owned by Bell while the other is owned by Shaw, so you know right away that they aren't going to be very competitive on price.

You may be able to get cheaper service from a U.S. system like Dish or DirectTV, but:
a) it's unauthorized in Canada, so you have to give them a false U.S. address and acquire the equipment cross-border
b) you need to check that you aren't in a fringe reception area for them since they don't intend to cover Canada
