Are there dress shoes with runner/walker soles?

Are there dress shoes with runner/walker soles?

I have a flat sole and my biggest problem with dress shoes is that it's painful to walk in them. I always wear runners and I am used to the freedom of movement that it provides. Are there dress shoes that is a combination of leather body and a sports sole?

I have seen vibram shoes doing something like this, and I am wondering if there are normal looking dress shoes with sports soles.

This can't be real?

An option the OP can try out is buying insoles to put into shoes to make them more comfy.

Agreed on the RockPorts. I had a pair that looked decent but had a soft comfortable walk-able sole.

I looked at a couple Rockports and they are a bit too casual to qualify as dress shoes.
Clarks have the formality and has all the right padding, I am considering getting one myself.
There's 1 particular pair of Ecco shoes that has a athletic sole, but it's a seasonal limited model and they are all out of stock for my size.

Seconding Cole Haans. They offer shoes with the Nike Lunarlon sole and also shoes with the Nike Air sole
