silly question.

If you ported your number to a month to month plan how fast can you port to another company?

ex

jan 1 10:00 am - port number from wind to bell and its active

jan 1 11:am - port number from bell to rogers ?

There is no limit to how many times you can port. However it takes 2+ hours for a port to be fully complete . Plus Bell has been know to charge a port out fee if you port before the end of your first billing cycle .

Per the WCOC, billing must stop on the date of port (assuming one is a consumer / small biz client). Bell does not charge "port out fees".

Now, the only point of contention would be the fact that when one signs up on a MTM plan, they are technically signing a "30 day agreement". The carrier could enforce the full first months service charge, but then they would also have to provide service for that period of time (which is a technical impossibility when one ports out). Thus, the decision has been made that billing stops immediately when one ports out.
