Thermal Energy Systems in High-Rise Condominiums

I didn't live there but I looked a a medium rise condo that had it. It is certainly more expensive than regular hydro otherwise everyone would do it. The example I know they actually leased it back to the condo corp so the costs were much higher.
Even if they don't do this the reserve fund for maintaining it might be higher than a "normal system". Personally I would be wary of buying in a pre-construction building offering this.
