Thinkgeek.com is having 75% off all clearance items for one day ONLY using promo code "doorbuster"

Their stuff and style aren't for everyone. But some *geeks* might find them interesting.

As for me, I just got some toys for kids as well as some T-shirts and polos for dirt cheap. We are talking sub $5 Tees with some design elements and/or plush toys that are less than $8.

My whole order of 13 items came in at less than U$70 with WA tax in shipped to WA. Given the sizes of the plush toys, I'm not sure how they are making money. :D

Shipping to CAN is like $20, but if you buy enough, it could still be worthwhile IMO.

Do they charge duty?
They add duty, tax and handling at the end of the checkout process (came out to ~25%), and $30 shipping for more than five or so items. But when I doubled the final cost of every item in my cart, still worth it.

I think if you choose the $30 expedited shipping, no duties.

But if you choose the cheaper option, you will be charged the brokerage fee + duty.
I got charged $16 for a $12 usd purchase. They put the full price value on the declaration paper.
The actual brokerage fee and duty cost was $21 but I saved $5 by prepaying online.
I had to pay $8-9 in taxes which are part of the fee.

I highly doubt I'll buy from them again.

For shipping to Toronto (but I guess it depends on what you buy), I got $30 for Expedited and $40 for Express shipping.

It reminds me of the EB games Friday sales, just without the stock out of the actual good stuff.

I haven't ordered from Think Geek in years, but I remember getting hit hard by duties.

This sale... is tempting...

The $30 ship to Toronto + duty saved me from buying a lot of stuff that I don't need.
Upvoted anyways, thanks for posting this OP.

Ah, I see ThinkGeek shipping still thinks Canada is in another dimension. Not a big deal if getting multiple items I guess...this is a hell of a discount

$30 shipping was ok with me, considering I just ordered about 20 things.
FYI, shipping from the US to Canada is not cheap anymore, as rates have gone up across all the carriers and stuff.
