Third Party Claims Surrounding Repairs
I thought I'd pose a question to the group here.
There's a real estate owner in our circle who's made mention of roof replacement for an upper middle class home (i.e. not a Toronto-area McMansion). Without going into motivation or psychology, he's claiming this overhaul / replacement is expected to cost him $50,000 (not a typo).
I'm now being told of a former tenant who's done damage to what I understand is a 2-bedroom condo (not a penthouse), and the associated repair bill is also $50,000.
I'm removing context from this discussion. I'm just curious how plausible these claims are, on their face.
