Thoughts on Freshii

They seem to be doing very well, especially that everyone is trying to be healthy these days.

I only tried them once, and found the food very bland. I got a burrito bowl. I wasn't impressed.

What do you guys think?

Expensive for what you get.

Me and the wife can get the same "fill" at Subway (12" + 6") for the same price as one Freshii bowl.

Besides the fact Subway isn't healthy with their fake chicken, nasty cold-cuts, and high calorie sauces.

It's expensive for sure, but it tastes good. Somehow I still find myself going there a few times a month despite the price tag. There's also always a line up at the locations I frequent.

Tough to compare a cold cut at Subway vs a Freshii bowl

as an investor, if you own or buy freshii, i would advise you to have a sell price. get in, make some $, and get out. i wouldn't hold for the long term. these things tend to in and out of favour and totally reliant on consumer trends which change quickly.

I tried it once and it tasted terrible...
Their brand and value proposition can be easily replicated. I wouldn't hold them for the long term.

The day the IPO was announced, I decided to try them out. 11:45AM at a downtown location and it was deserted. Food was flavorless.

Agree about the lack of flavor in the food. Franchise here doesn't seem very busy in general either.

Staying far away... Look at Shake Shack (SHAK) post IPO... And that stuff is actually tasty and popular.

In hindsight, might have been smart to buy the IPO and cash in on the dumb dollars chasing this stock, but long-term I'd stay away. It's a fad.
