Thousand Island Cruise Recommendation

Just wanted to take the family to see the thousand Islands, but kinda overwhelmed with what to see. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance

Take a cruise that leaves from the middle, vs the end zones.
So out of Gananoque or Rockport
Not Kingston or Brockville
Being in the middle zone the islands are more dense, so you’ll see more
And spend less time commuting

Both Gananoque Cruise Lines & Rockport Boat Line are good
They both offer up a variety of cruise itineraries

Gan is good if you have the time to do one of their 3 hour cruises
Rockport is better if all you can spare is an hour or so
(They are closer to Boldt Castle, so on an hour cruise they’ll sail there, around Heart Island and back)
Both companies offer specialty cruises ... themes, special events, itineraries etc
The Rockport 4th of July Fireworks Cruise is AMAZING
And the all day 2 Castle Cruise is on my bucket list for this Summer

* NOTE - Boldt Castle is on Heart Island in NY State, you need a Passport to go there
(look for the Boldt Castle 5 Hour Cruises)
But it’s an awesome sight. This makes your outing an all day activity, as you’ll be spending several hours on the island.

I didn't care about stopping at the castles, so we really enjoyed the Fast Cat tour (2 hours ripping around on a fast catamaran and stopping at points of interest for educational talks, then back to high speed). They play rock music and it is licensed.

There are often Groupons or similar deals for 1000 island cruises.

We took advantage of one last summer.

Thanks so much PointsHubby. Will definitely be looking at their Ganaoque longer cruise. Their 5 hour looks wonderful and starts at 3pm, which gives me time to drive to their location. As you said it will be an all day outing so I don't need to plan much. Hows the parking and getting food and stuff? Is it better to buy their tickets from their website or should I look at groupon or elsewhere.
