Thought this was one of their lower priced models but took a second to realize the 4K (3840x2160) display. Not a bad deal. I have the same model but in 1080p and it's great - if anybody has any questions about this laptop then feel free.

Do you think this GTX 1060 6gb can handle 4k gaming in this laptop?
My GTX 1080 cant run 4k resolution at high/ultra 60fps

TigerDirect = 15% restocking fee

So $239.85 loss if you're thinking about returning it for any reason.

so screw this company

Hot deal for anyone looking to cop. I have a Dell 7577 with the same specs (minus the 4K UHD display), and it can run games pretty solidly.
Half these deals ain't even hot

That is a really good price. I wonder if the HDD is 5400 or 7200 rpm. Either way still a good price for specs.
I wonder what will happen once patches for meltdown and spectre start hitting those i7 processors
Still a Public Mobile customer.
Looking forward to dotmobile.

Definitely not great for 4k gaming. Can't see anything above 30fps on high/ultra, though for some less demanding games like LoL it can probably be done.
1080p gaming with at least 60fps is the sweet spot for the 1060 6gb.

HDD is 5400 RPM, but I wouldn't be using it other than storage as an SSD is already installed.

Definitely would not recommend 4K display with this card.
I have the AMD equivalent and it sweats pushing 70 frames on mid settings at 2K on most games.

ideally 1600 bucks should have a 1070 with 17.3 inch 4k screen.

Thanks OP! Bought the 1080p version. The price doesn't even compare with other options, with these specs.

Never in Canada. 2k is the lowest I see for a 1070 gaming laptop.

the EVGA sc17 is around 1800 canadian all in. a while ago. was a deal posted by someone. 4k screen, 1070, 32gb ram with 1TB m2 ssd. so definitely doable for good price. i think ebay regularly have some lightly used 1070 laptopl for around that. but yeah canada we pay more to get a laptop.

what's the next generation gtx gonna be 11 series or 2000 series i wonder.

there are lots of gtx 980 laptop on ebay nobody wants. but 1070 is a bit faster than 980. next year should be great performance gain since AMD is catching up fast.

Must have been an american sale and shipped to Canada or a PO box which would still be a crazy deal........in Canada its currently listed at $3600 so well above $1600.

in a laptop I'm pretty sure 1070's are significantly faster than previous gen 980 since they are basically desktop gpus. All of the 9 series gpu laptops are crap in comparison to the 10 series.

I have the 1080p version with 8gb ram. Do you know the best ram stick that is compatible if I want to upgrade?
