DP: Asked for reward card in store and registered card in App, then I made first purchase over $1.50 and scanned reward card from App. Received 1 Reward in App and counted as 1/7 purchases. Next day, I used my reward in store by scanning my reward card from App. Reward count is now at 0 and purchases at 2/7. So 5 more purchases for another free reward!

I bought my first coffee ordering from the Tim app. It charged me $1. I didn't pick up the coffee coz the app had selected a location that was further away than the nearest Tim. When I got home, I saw that my Tim card balance was deducted another $2. That happened on Sunday, I have yet to hear back from Tim. Not impressed so far with Tim app and its reward program.

Normally I buy Tim Hortons coffee two times a day but I won't get the card because I think my privacy/habit is more important than a free coffee.

Not just one free but 1.5 free every week, if you go 2x/day, 5 days/week

Just noticed the app only works with internet access. Is there a way to pay at the store using funds on the app without internet?

I don't think so but you could always connect to their wifi before you pay. Might be a hassle but ...

You're kidding right? Unless you only use cash your entire life, have none of the following: cell phone, social media accounts, computer, video game console, bank card, get paid via electronic transfer, credit card, passport, driver's license, own your home, rent your home, pay taxes, pay utility bills, drive a car, your privacy was gone many years ago probably before you were even born. Hell even posting here on RFD, your privacy is non-existent. You should be more worried about the online porn you consume than Tim Horton's.

Question: I have been using my visa card for paying Tim Hortons in store because my VISA card offers 4% cash back for fast food/restaurants category. Now if I load fund from my VISA card to Tim account, will this transaction count as fast food/restaurants category as well?

It should as the merchandise will show up as Tim Hortons on your statement. Best thing to do is try loading $5 and see.

Garbage app. Works absolutely fine at home but of course when I'm in line I get "bad network" with both WiFi and data.

Where do you get the physical card? The line up is super long today so I didn't feel like lining up to ask, and I don't see anything on the counter -- is it hidden inside so you have to ask the cashier?

I've only been to Tims twice since they launched this program but it has been right in front of the cash register. It's a red card.

In fact, I'm seeing the cashiers basically asking each and every customer if they wanted the card and explaining what it was about... so, it's hard to miss but I don't know if it's different over in BC.
