Just saw this yesterday. It's on sale right now for $49.99 usd regular price will be $69.99. Currently it looks like it only ships to USA. no TiVo subscription required.
It looks like it also comes with free live tv too. Like 48 channels? I've seen it mentioned on two reviews so far. I'm sure you will need a USA vpn or dns to access tho.

This definitely is no comparison to an Nvidia Shield, but it looks like a solid alternative to an Amazon fire stick, Xiaomi MiBox, or any of those uncertified Chinese boxes. Price is good and it can play Netflix and YouTube in full HD unlike those cheap Chinese boxes. It also has android tv so it has Chromecast built in and google assistant.
I already have a shield but I want this to replace my mibox. I like that the TiVo combines everything. I'm sure it will be quick with updates too.
I hope they will eventually ship to Canada. I don't know how to get it since I can't cross the border to pickup at Kinek. Maybe if you have an Amerifriend you can get a hold of one. Or maybe there is a different way?

If you compare it to the fire stick 4k it is the same price after dollar conversion.
Once the discount is gone it will be more expensive.
If you have ever used the Nvidia shield or mibox you would know the user interface is alot better than firestick. Also it has google assistant and Chromecast included which I like too.
Obviously if you have no way to get it from the states then the firestick is the better option.

Also noticed it comes with free live tv! The firestick doesn't. You will need a USA vpn or dns to watch the live tv tho I'm sure.
