Toddler-proof galvanized metal garden bed

So I have these metal garden beds that seem to have some sharp edges where the pieces connect. The top is rounded out and seems safe. What can I do to the joints to make their edges hidden away from the adventurous toddlers running around the backyard? There’s also an oily coating that I assume is for rust-avoidance — would that be a concern with kids around?

Flapper wheel for edges

Brake cleaner for oily surface.
If it's galvanized, the oil isn't there for rust protection

If you can clean the oily stuff off, perhaps just put clear silicone on the sharp joints. Be careful when you're applying it if you're using your finger.
