It does work, except I modified the recipe alot. Used plum tomatoes instead of cherry tomatoes. And added italian sausage and some other veggies.

Those photos are mine but, here's an article:

It's quite good. My daughter has made it a few times. She adds whatever else we have too. The other day it was olives and spinach. It was tasty.
On a 'smart' device that isn't always so smart. So please forgive the autocorrects and typos. If it bothers you, then don't read my posts, but don't waste my time correcting me. If you can get past the typos, then my posts generally have some value.

None of the ingredients are weird or unusual and considering how much cheese goes in it shouldn’t be that surprising it tastes good.

Personally I think it’s a big waste of feta but to each their own.

Yeap. Posted in the dinner thread. But I was making this before it became a craze.

I didn't find it salty at all. I used sheep goat feta from Farm Boy. And I added some chili garlic sauce after everything was cooked. I have enough pasta to last me the whole week.Face Savouring Delicious Food

Sure, a pasta with a feta and tomato sauce would totally work. Not sure if I'd call it viral or a craze. At it's core, it's making a pasta sauce from baking small tomatoes with feta cheese, olive oil, and spices. It will taste fine.

Pasta is so flexible with huge options and variations. Use diced roma or hot house instead. Substitute feta with parm and nuts to make a variation on pesto sauce. Substitute feta with ricotta. Hell, substitute feta with paneer and add masala powder for an exotic Indian flavour. Add olives. Doing the sauce in the oven will add a nice roasted flavour but you can also do this in one sauté pan (like making marinara sauce).

Pasta and pasta sauce is so much fun and limited only by your imagination.
