This is an Earthwide problem.
It's an 80% premium. There are very few 65"-75" 80% premiums out there.

As I said, even more so with OLEDs.

I am surprised this has not received more attention. GST only outside ON really makes this a sweet deal. My overall cost was like paying $1,800 for the 55" C1 locally, before taxes and environmental levy.

So I'm looking at 65" OLEDs but is this considered a great deal?

I'm not in a rush for a TV and I hear that they usually go on sale around November, should I wait till then or is this deal just as good?

This seems too good of a deal... checking back on RFD the 65" CX on sale at Costco in February would've costed more after taxes than this one... Trying to talk myself out of spending but this is hard to resist...

Yeah the lowest the CX has been retail store (not refurbed, open box, or eBay) was 2799 as far as I know.

Very tempted for this, however it's really just started to come in stock and already its lower in price than the CX, I'm gambling on the hunch it'll come lower. Total gut feeling tho.

Eff it... I couldn't resist. Bought one. Eff that hurt the wallet - but for a brand new model the price is too good.

Thanks OP!
Ordered the 55’’ on June 28 at 11pm and received it via FedEx yesterday morning! I’m in Montreal, Qc. Looks like I’m lucky at the panel lottery for now :)
Great price for Canada.

Damn bought the 55 inch from my BB yesterday. Going to be delivered tomorrow. It's too bad the model numbers are slightly different or else I'd try and price match.

got my 65 on monday, perfect condition, great deal! equivalent to paying 2463.14$ pre-tax. On black friday I expect it to go for 2600-2650$ pre-tax, but of course you get a better return policy and access to extended warranty from Costco.

What is the consensus on the panel to get? I am confused with all the discussion of 3S3C vs 3s4c and PJ vs GZ on avsforum...

Interesting. Looks like topchoiceelectronics is selling the USA model, not the Canadian one. I wonder if that affects the manufacturer's warranty?

Canada - OLED55C1AUB
USA - OLED55C1PUB

Interesting indeed. Anyone who received their orders can confirm which model they received? It would be a huge bummer if this results in warranty issues...

Well I don’t think I’ve the guts to access the service mode and see which panel is my C1.. but the factory ID is LZ, Mexico with a June production date and it seems that a lot of the C1 out of this plant got the GZ panel.. (even if they use both PJ & GZ panel according to some ppl on the avsforum).
And about the consensus, I’ve absolutely no idea.. GZ panel is more recent than the PJ so we will see in the coming years when more feedback will be available :)

I received an AUB model.
No problem to register my TV on the LG Canadian website to get the 1 year warranty.
As long as the second letter is U (= North America market), it should be correct. And I read on some forums that LG for NA market are using the GZ panel for both C1 & G1 (when for the European market, C1 = PJ panel only); but no idea if it’s 100% correct.

Too bad they don't update their website or I would def go price match. I doubt BB will honour it right now
