And yes, Thomas is climbing out of his April slump. I think he's had RBIs in three or four straight games now.
game was pretty long and boring. Burnett was just dominating and vernon had an AMAZING game.

My dad always teaches me *You don't bite the hand that feeds you*. This scum of the earth bashed the Jays to no end after they helped him become an established major-leaguer.
My recollection is that he pitched two innings for the Jays... the rest of the time he was on the DL for finger blisters...

He did not. He only bites the hand that fed him.

Ohhhh, well it all makes sense, I have neither digigtal cable or HD so I didn't realize that Rogers preview meant the preview channel. :o

Anyway, good win for the Jays and good solid outting for A.J. Hope the trend continues this weekend with the Rangers in town. :)

Finally some respect from the south of the border...

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/powerrank ... 007&week=4

It's just a pretty subjective power ranking. Take it with a grain of salt, of course. But still, I was quite surprised to see the Jays being ranked this high even after the 5-game losing streak before taking the Red Sox and the Yanks. Not too bad

Towers needs more run support

He hasn't piched that bad this year, unfortunately the 1-3 mark speaks volumes.

3 home-runs in one inning is good pitching?

Compared to his record last year, I had no qualms. I was one of the loudest Towers critic last year but I can tell you right now that he has stepped it up a notch this year.

Why don't you ask why the Jays bats didn't do anything until the 6 inning, against a Rangers pitching staff that is ranked second to last in the league ?

They've been 7,8,9 all 4 rankings...I think it has as much to do with them being decent along with the teams beneath them not doing great either.

Woo hoo, just turned the TV on to see them score 4 runs.
i think this line's mostly filler

Michael Young has been a mainstay in Texas for a few years now.

It's just too painful watching this short-staffed BJ BP now. I am gonna flip the channel to the hockey game :-(
