Their fleet has now grown to have eight 737s

Flair has a goal of 50 aircraft within its first five years of operation. A goal which it has ‘codenamed’ “F50.”

For those wondering, and are like me,

Flair: 5/8 planes are 737 MAX

Swoop: 0/9 planes are 737 MAX.

Though I haven't flown either, I can't say my experience with real budget airlines like these are any good unless the price is amazing.

lol you really cant expect anything by flying with them. Its literally a budget airline. You need to go to FL and youre broke? Fly with Flair and bring your own water, snack and pillow for comfort.

Yes, they are a Ultra Low Cost Carrier (ULCC)

“Our efficient new aircraft will provide us the foundation to execute our ULCC business model. These planes will enable us to keep fares low while expanding our service to meet travel demand.”

Zimbabwean nickels and dimes on the luggage. Is this targeted to zoomers who click/buy before looking?

It’s an ultra low cost carrier… what do y’all expect. If you want water, pretzels, entertainment and a carry on you fly a full fare airline and pay full fare prices.

If you book on a ULCC you have zero right to complain about anything…

Just light travellers, you probably can get a personel bag. Thinking on going to vancouver for a weekend and i think just a backpack is good enough.

Wow, carry on is a complete no no then. Checked is more like a $20 markup each way over other airlines so not as extreme.

I know everyone likes to shit on Spirit Airlines. I for one, had surprisingly good time with them always when i used to live in Houston. Spirit had several flights from Houston to major cities and I used to almost exclusively book with them as they were so damn cheap even though i had to pay for baggage. Yes, you have to pay for carry on, but me and my partner used to just book one check in baggage (instead of 2 carry ons) which could carry all our stuff. Only downside is we have to wait for or baggage after our flight which was generally a few more mins of waiting. Yes, they dont give water, but how hard is it to just get an empty bottle and fill it after getting past security. Tickets were so much cheaper than any airline. As long as you do your due diligence and be at the check in counter on time, you will never face any issues.

Don't know anything about Flair but as a general rule for ULCC make sure to follow all instructions down to the T. Don't be late for checkin or boarding and respect sizing/weight restrictions. Surcharging people who don't follow instructions is how they make their money.

I travel light and took a few ULCC flights in Europe. Always had a good experience.

Once you pay for luggage, the advantage is really lost. From BC, I'd rather hop an Alaska flight out of Bellingham.

Edit: but upvoted. It's a good deal for someone.
