Are you sure? I seriously doubt that.

Is this worth jumping on? I'm in the market for a laptop, but am in no real rush.

Its for the wife, so it doesn't have to be anything special. She doesn't play games or anything, pretty much just using it for MS office (word, excel, etc.), surfing the internet, maybe playing a movie once in a while (HDMI out).

Has a cruddy 1366*768 screen. I think you can get better for cheaper. The CPU and memory are kind of a waste because of the screen.

okay, ultra 4k output but a crappy low-rez 1366x768 screen?

but the 5th generation has better/faster integrated graphics, slightly higher ipc and lower power/heat. if the performance is even remotely close, pick the 5th-gen.

and in this case, the 5th-gen i3 is just a slightly-lower clocked i5 anyway.

Toshiba is good but a bit "older", but the "•Canadian Bilingual Frameless Keyboard" is a show stopper for me.

Did anybody buy the Toshiba Canada Satellite L50-B-07P-R refurbished Intel® i5-4210U $379.99. How is the laptop when compared with Dell Inspiron 15 i3543-2501BLK Signature Edition $349 Laptop??

RAM not user accessible, so no upgrading. Along with the bilingual keyboard, refurb status, and CPU discussion above, I'd probably stick with the Dell if you're comparing between the two.
