Any comments?

Whoever came up with that name needs to give his head a shake....

Anyway most of the antivirus software nowadays do not actually write their own "engine", and TotalAV is no exception. It uses the engine from Avira, which is pretty average. For most people that's good enough, but so as Windows Defender.

Don't bother.

just use Windows Defender if all you're doing is getting a "Free" antivirus. The nagging to upgrade to paid is a PITA.

If you must get a paid antivirus, try to get Symantec Endpoint Protection or for all the crap it gets from People Nortons is actually very solid.
