..and?

Why post a video that has no meaningful title or zero input from the OP into why they posted it? Is it a course, or on the current conditions or what?!

Like I've said before the biz is full of criminals and unqualified operators.

Watched the whole thing. The towing industry here is definitely a mess. I had heard that there had been some violence and trucks being vandalized, but 50 trucks torched in the last 6 months?! Crazy. And then there's the lawyer being shot at and having to close his practice after trying to take on some players in the towing industry. This guy is brave for leading the fight and going on TV.

I know in some places there's a police rotation for tow trucks. They have to be called to clear an accident. Maybe an idea to get rid of chasers is the model that Uber uses. Lots on independent contractors that are dispatched fairly and efficiently based on an algorithm. Call 311 or something and a regulated tow truck is dispatched. But that would require the government invest in implementing and maintaining such a system.

It'll be an uphill battle. Like the guy said, the towing industry hasn't changed in the 35 years he's been doing it, so a lot of bad practices like chasing and body shop scams have been ingrained into the industry here.

its a little insight and clarity on what the challenges in the industry are...not all tow truck operators are criminals and gang members (actually only a small percentage)...BUT..like in grade schools...the bullys seem to run the show and call the shots (in T.O)...this guy is/has been lobbying the gov't for change and regulation for years..you cant just complain about an industry (if you are not happy with it) and leave things the way they are..there has to be solutions to protect the consumer...so if you are ok with the current situation, thats fine...but if you feel you have been screwed or dont want to get screwed..this guy is actively trying to get the gov't to listen...maybe he needs more public support to tell the gov't to regulate the industry...of anyone cares
