Toys R Us: FREE Kids' Events for Spring Break!

If you're looking for some fun events to take the kids to over Spring Break, then you'll want to check out your local Toys R Us, as they're hosting a series of free events for kids!

All events are free! Kids will also get a chance to meet Geoffrey the giraffe each day at store opening. At 11 AM and 2 PM only, kids will get to take home a free balloon, plus parents with children participating in events can get a free $5.00 off card when you spend $5.00 or more!

Spring Break varies by province, but we've listed the dates for each province below to help give you an idea of when events are happening near you.

Alberta (Calgary: March 21-25, Edmonton: March 28-April 1)
  • Monday: Dough Sculpting Party (11 AM)/ Storytime (2PM)
  • Wednesday: Storytime (11 AM)/ Battle of the Beyblades (2 PM)
  • Friday: Mattel Pictionary AND Magic 8 Ball Q+A (11 AM)/ Mattel Scavenger Hunt (2 PM)
British Columbia (March 14-18, March 21-24)
  • Monday: Dough Sculpting Party (11 AM)/ Storytime (2PM)
  • Wednesday: Storytime (11 AM)/ Battle of the Beyblades (2 PM)
  • Friday: Mattel Pictionary AND Magic 8 Ball Q+A (11 AM)/ Mattel Scavenger Hunt (2 PM)
Manitoba (March 28-April 1)
  • Monday: Dough Sculpting Party (11 AM)/ Storytime (2PM)

No registration is required to participate in March Break events, however event materials are only available while supplies last. Note that dates will vary by store, so if you're interested in attending, be sure to contact your local Toys R Us for details.

Good post. But most march break events are packed and crowded. Go tobogganing or walk through a park. $0

There’s no way this is free lol…bringing kids to a toy store = lots of $$ spent on toys!

Those make and takes are brutal. Tiny little table and they make you build it there.
