[Toys R Us] TRU: Mix and Match Buy 1 Get 1 one 50% OFF (50 brands of toys) - Dec 15 to Dec 21, 2017...

Hi there,

Wow, TRU is going all out for the last week of Christmas... 50 brands of toys are buy one, get one half off...

Online starts at midnight...
http://www.toysrus.ca/category/index.js ... =143249286

Clearance and anything ending at .94 are excluded. Anything on sale that ends at .97 are also excluded from the buy 1, get one half off... The cheaper of the 2 will be the half off, so if you are planning to buy a lot, stick the expensive items together...

Hi there,

I think all retailers does that... Sales are mostly limited quantities... If you come on the first day, you should be fine. People think that everything will be still there on the last day...

At first I was excited until I realised it's equivalent to 25% off but you have to buy in pairs. Not much extra saved over their 20% off sales unless you buy the really expensive ones. 25% off is still a good deal but TRU makes it look better than it really is.

So any specific deal? Bogo 1/2 off does not mean doing this is cheaper this week over other weeks

This sale was really bad. Anything that was not full price was not included.

Hi there,

Well, it is for the non-sale items, as noted in the flyer...

It's a brilliant marketing technique. Force consumers to buy multiple items while advertising "half off".

Was just there today and some items that end with .99 are also excluded. The cashier mentioned sku numbers ending with the number 4 was included. We picked out 6 toys and only 1 item was qualified for half price so we just left

Well yeah, items ending with .99 and not on the brands list is excluded. Otherwise, as long as it's on the brands list (which all cashiers have), you should be able to get the discount. It's veryyyyy specific on brands.

Also, I should mention some of the Lego is 5 cents off their regular price so they do not apply.
