I think its still weeks off from this depending on when analyst revise earning estimates.
"the market timing rules for this model is meant to reduce risk when earnings are estimated to decline broadly in the market – avoiding prices falling further due to negative sentiment. "

The site https://boostyourincome.ca/trading-stra ... raham-tsx/ sho this in the Performance and Stats tab.

Until earnings guidance deteriorate significantly, driving the earnings score below -100. This model doesn't take other timing rules to go to cash (most of my other models are hedged or in cash, this model mainly focus on fundamentals and earnings guidance for timing, as the idea was to mimic an active investing model rather than a high turnover model).

Volatile markets so far. Bought KL yesterday cause of the model, and got back into HDI since i missed it the first time around, guess it was lucky timing on my part.

All rules are documented on the first post. Graham rules focus on quality and valuation, but no specific metrics on forward looking estimates. Hence the ranking, which takes that (and other criteria) into account.

April 19, 2020 signal:

Sell: KL

Interesting steady earnings guidance decline (on the timing indicator) while market was rallying..... still in the middle of earnings season, so let's see how this will go.

Thanks Rod. During the past few weeks, these buys and sells have helped mitigate the recent downturn of the markets somewhat. Having a larger cash balance allowed the model to deploy capital when those triggers hit.

May 2, 2020 signal:

No action required.

Earnings guidance continues to improve, mostly from tech sector. But many companies pulled guidance, so although that doesn’t push indicators down, I view it as negative due to many unknowns ahead 1 including high likelihood of a recession soon.
