Traffic ticket advice in Quebec
Noble RFDers,
I am hoping to get your advice. I am a Toronto resident and, unfortunately, got my FIRST speeding ticket in Quebec city. I had just got off the highway and was on 67 in a 50 zone. When I crossed the street light, the traffic camera took a picture of my license plate. Three week later, now, I have received my speeding ticket for $79. I don't want to go through any hassle so I have already paid off the amount. My question is:
1) Do I still have to plead guilty? Or is paying the fine enough?
2) Can I still get demerit points? Is it possible that once I plead guilty, I'll get a mail stating these are the demerit points on my license plate?
3) Would this ticket impact my insurance premiums?
Thanks!
