Traveling full vaxed adult with unvaxed kids under 12

Hi guys,

I cannot find a link to Gov't website confirming unvaxed kids travel with fully vaxed parent as of Dec 1. I see info on return but not departure from Canada.

Do kids need to have an antigen test done within 3 days if travel out of Canada for a week? I called sunwing, an agent says must have tests. called transat, kids don't need to have any tests if they tavel with fully vaxed parent.

Planing a trip on this weekend to caribian countries.

According to the link, children under 12 do not need to be vaccinated or tested to get on a plane to depart Canada but obviously you should check the requirements of the destination country as well.

Travel with unvaccinated children
Unvaccinated children under 12 years and 4 months of age don’t require a COVID-19 test to travel within or depart Canada. International destinations may have different requirements.

I'm going to Cuba next week with my 8 year old son.

I am full vaxxed, he has had his 1st shot (so considered un-vaxxed), he doesn't need a test to leave Canada.

What about adults? Do they also need to undergo a covid 19 test if they are fully vaxxed?

going Cuba this Sunday. So if I fully vaxed and my kid 7 years old unvaxed we don't need any tests for departure from Canada. Looks like we get tested on arrival in Cuba and must do PCR tests for both 72h before departure to Canada. Am I right?

What are the requirements of your destination country?

this isn't clear at all.

Sunwing says your kid needs a test to go to Cuba or to return to Canada?

You both will need a test to return to Canada, your resort should be arranging this before departure.

The new rules state all travelers will undergo a PCR test upon arrival at a Canadian airport, but they haven't said when it will start.

https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/trave ... l#children

COVID-19 tests: if you qualify as fully vaccinated, a COVID-19 test is not needed to board a flight or train in Canada unless you’re flying to a country that requires it.

If you indicate to your airline or railway company that you're eligible to board, but fail to provide proof of vaccination or valid COVID-19 test result, you won’t be allowed to travel and could face penalties or fines.

As of November 30, 2021, vaccination will be required for travel within and to depart Canada. A valid COVID-19 molecular test will no longer be accepted as an alternative to vaccination unless you’re eligible for one of the limited exemptions.

Children under 12 years of age are exempt from the 72-hour PCR test before traveling to Cuba

Airline staff not being up to date with the rules is a huge problem. Regardless of whether they're right or not, if Sunwing think you need a PCR test, you better have one if you don't want to risk being denied boarding.

That’s a 3 month old article and is the opposite to the official government links I posted

I’m leaving next Saturday to Cuba with my 8 year old, via Air Canada Vacations

The links I posted were through their site today

Seems like airline workers dont know #*@&#* when it comes to latest and greatest,

I always print screen / print out important statements from CDC for example
