IMO. This Is for GC not developer

Gold: Daniels, Tridel
Silver: Menkes, PCL, Ellisdon
Bronze: TMG, Lanterra
Participation ribbon: Tucker Hirise

Purely anecdotal from working in the industry and at each of the above sites. If I were to buy a condo it would be Daniels

Daniels and Tridel. I want nothing to do with anyone else. Great Gulf used to be up there but they have dropped a bit. Good developer overall but Tridel and Daniels moves people in when the building is completed. Not like these other builders who move people into a construction zone then take months/years to complete the amenities.

Are there any Tridel or Daniels buildings in the Yorkville area? Am moving from the UK to Toronto early next year and are slowly staring the search for a place to live. I previously stayed at Tridel's 300 Front St for a few months when I was in Toronto for work and loved the building (though the area not so much). Or are there any other nice buildings in Yorkville I should keep my eyes open for?

Surprised Daniels is held in such a high regard. Some of their buildings on Mississauga has major plumbing issues.

The next time I buy a condo in Toronto I am NOT considering any builder other than Tridel or Daniels. Went with a diff builder and learned a big lesson. I always thought Tridel interior looked kinda old fashioned from a design POV (ceiling light fixtures for instance, so hideous) but i'll take that over the crap the other builders put you through any day. Moved into my new condo a few months ago, def selling in 5 yrs and moving on.

This is the sad state of condos in Toronto. We are talking in relative terms here. Relative to the other crap they are the most decent.

Yup. I have purhcased enough condos to know that there are a lot of crap builders out there. You pay a bit more for Tridel but it's worth it in the long run. They build condos the way they should be built. Not the BS that we have grown accustomed to. Add Daniels and Menkes. May not be the cutting edge designs but you'll get a solid product.

There are a lot of bad builders out there. Even some big builders who you could not pay me to buy from. I see their condos selling for so much $ and I just shake my head. Poor buyers.

I like dealing with Tridel because I think they are honest. They don't try to hide anything.

Is there anyway to search condo's for sale by developer? Anyone have a list of good Tridel buildings downtown/midtown that would be good live-in condos?

You got a real estate agent? You can ask them. They would know. (Unless they are inexperienced).
Also keyword search in realtor.ca
Condos.ca also has good info
