Trisan Centre (Schomberg, ON) - Pfizer or Moderna?
Can anyone who got their second dose at the Trisan Centre in the past week (July 6-13) let me know whether you got Pfizer or Moderna?

I'm not looking to revive the arguments in those threads around vaccine mixing. However, I will say that you can get a pretty good idea about what will be available at certain clinics. Some clinics have a sign outside saying something like "Moderna only for 18+". Other clinics, like the one at Cortellucci Hospital, have only had Pfizer ever since the vaccine distribution began.PointsHubby wrote: ↑ You need to read the other threads on Vaccine Distribution …
Like these ones

There are literally no guarantees on what will be there when you get there
The Govt is using a JUST IN TIME DELIVERY system
Best strategy … take what is available
It’s best to get vaccinated ASAP

Regardless of your views around vaccine mixing, I don't think it can hurt to have more data about which vaccines are offered at which clinics.

sure but we certainly don't need more threads on the same topic or we would have 1 for each of the thousands of locations.RichardStroker wrote: ↑ I'm not looking to revive the arguments in those threads around vaccine mixing. Sure, I agree with everything you said.PointsHubby wrote: ↑ Ya, and I am saying …
It can change day to day.
So what’s “on tap” today … might not be what’s served tomorrow
(Forget last week on July 6th)
So unless you can book in for an appointment on the same day as you hear what’s on offer that day
It can mean literally nothing.

Well King was a Pfizer only clinic until today. You would certainly receive a Pfizer dose.PointsHubby wrote: ↑ Ya, and I am saying …

Lots of people are frustrated by this … cuz they are SHOPPING AROUND for a particular one
But that’s pretty silly … in the big scheme of things
Better to be FULLY VACCINATED sooner than later. So as to benefit from the coverage … cuz in the meantime you aren’t nearly as well protected with one dose as you might assume

As of today it's Moderna for adults and Pfizer. Just like the other York run clinics.RichardStroker wrote: ↑ Sure, I agree with everything you said.
However, literally anything can change at any moment (not just from day to day). I don't think that means that we can't get some idea of what will be offered in the near future. As I say, some clinics have only had Pfizer ever since the vaccine distribution began. What's the probability that will change tomorrow? Not 0% for sure, but I wouldn't say it's likely either.
Also, some people really do have an appointment today (or whenever they're reading this thread). If they're hesitant about vaccine mixing, this could give them an opportunity to cancel their appointments ahead of time so that they're spot it freed up for another person.

York Region has this info clearly posted on their website. For Trisan (and I believe ALL other clinics) they are giving Moderna to 18+ and Pfizer to ages 12-17. I think this is the case until at least July 18th.RichardStroker wrote: ↑ I'm not looking to revive the arguments in those threads around vaccine mixing. Book Cornell using the provincial system for today. They're giving out pfizer. Last I checked, there were still same-day appointments left.crazychick wrote: ↑ Thanks, I have an appointment at Trisan in 2hrs. Was about to head there thinking it was Pfizer but noticed the page has changed.

This - for York Region, Moderna for 18+, Pfizer is reserved for ages 12 - 17.....this is true for today as my family member got their 2nd dose today at Richmond Green and was informed as such.

Yes, but some sites can't be booked without it online. To book you need to call a hotline. See the provincial booking tool.PointsHubby wrote: ↑ In Ontario …
A OHIP Card / Green Health Care Card IS NOT REQUIRED to book a vaccine appointment
They accept other forms of ID / proof of residence

Important Note
As of Monday, July 19, both mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) will be available at all York Region COVID-19 vaccination clinics with the exception of SoccerCity, who will deliver both mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) as of Tuesday, July 20.
