Not buying but there's an AD when I clicked that offered 20% off my next order if I sign up. Could maybe be even cheaper!
Thanks OP, bought 25!

The reason they're clearing them out is that the Sega Genesis Mini, even though it has less games, has far better emulation. This thing is a piece of junk as far as hardware and emulation is concerned. Try searching for some reviews before shelling out even at this discounted price.

Oh god no! Please, for your sanity do NOT buy this AtGames trash! Emulation is baaaaaad and leads to broken / unbeatable games!

(Scroll to 11:31 to see why, or 13:07 for a built in game).

(Quite a few other videos on YouTube as well if you can't stand this guy's "unique" style).

i can't believe there are still people out there who don't know who atgames is and why their products should be avoided like the plague. op, i hope you learn the hard way. trying to waste people's money out of ignorance is wrong. or maybe you work for atgames, i don't know for sure. for those who have some sense, downvote this post and don't even consider for a second that this is a good deal. the way things are going for atgames, they will likely be backrupt in short order (they have serious allegations against them and are in the process of being sued).

LOL, that was the funniest review I've seen in a while. Well, hopefully it works properly for someone...

I found one of these systems at a thrift store for 20 bucks, my friend wanted it for his collection so I picked it up for him.

I didn’t test it in store and the AC adapter turned out to be dead so he ended up returning it for store credit. Based on the review video, it looks like the broken adapter saved him the misery of trying to play anything on this piece of junk.

Please be careful with the sub-par wannabe Genesis Mini that has "AtGames" and/or "Flashback" in the title. Stores like Walmart are selling two sub-par systems (one for $100, one for $80) with 85 games, alongside the real $100 system with 40 games. The controllers are inferior, and of the 85 games, only 57 were on Sega consoles. I believe that Walmart is selling three models on purpose, as this can confuse customers.

I advise going only with the real Sega Genesis Mini, shown in this link:

(In Canada, our box is essentially the same, just with a partial French translation.)

So from what I can tell from some reviews...

Reasons to buy:
+Cheap
+Cartridge Slot combined with HDMI allows you to play original games on HDTVs
+45 Genesis Games, some not included on the Sega Mini
+Wired and Wireless Controller options
+Can plug in original gamepads

Reasons not to buy
-Poor and inconsistent emulation
-Poor Menu design
-Cheaply made console that could have or develop issues
-Cheaply made and poor performing controllers

Bed Bath and Beyond had the Atari flashback wireless controller on clearance last week for $5 (reg 29.99) vol 1 and 2, tons of them, guess what? I didn't post about it because I just knew better ATGames gets no respect and it's junk even at 5.95 lol

Omg. Imagine some poor soul receiving this piece of garbage as a gift when they're expecting a Sega Genesis Mini.

OP, do that poor soul a huge solid by deleting this thread or editing your post. This is NOT better than the Sega Genesis Mini in any measurable criteria.

The notion that this doorstop is any good is Fake News!
