[Pizza Pizza] TTC $1 Pizza Pizza Wednesdays

Just reading the Toronto Metro News and a bright red ad caught my eye.
It reads as follows:

"TTC Pizza Wednesdays

Every Wednesday, continuing to November 11, 2009, TTC employees will be selling a pizza square for just one dollar at select subway stations.

All proceeds go to the TTC United Way Campaign

Thanks for your support"

It does not list the locations.

Enjoy!

It's awful, room-temperature pizza. But it's saved my ass a few times after work when I'm in a rush and have to grab something.

So how much is it for a square slice at regular price, anyways?

The slices from Kennedy usually tend to be 'fresh'

I think it's about $1.50 a square @ Pizza Pizza

The slice I got was 1/3 the size of a regular square.....

few year back it was 2/3 the size of a regular square....

Yeah I remember this has been going on for at least 10 years. The square slices back then were even puny.

I can't imagine how they can get any smaller if people are complaining about that.

Hey, it's a fundraiser. But it reminds me of the old borscht belt joke:
Restaurant patron #1: "the food here is terrible"
Restaurant patron #2: "yes, and the portions are so small"

Yeah, it's a bit more bite-sized, but I figure it's better that the price remains $1 than the slice remain the same size, but the price becomes $1.50.

as with the above poster i think you are missing the point..it's a fundraiser for a good cause...you don't donate money and say hey that's too much...atleast you get food back for a dollar of a donation

I believe this was on Tuesdays before, it has now been changed to Wednesday, the reason for the Metro ad i suppose. As somebody above mentioned, has saved me a couple times when your in a rush.
