I'd go with fibre if possible, should have much faster uploads.

These are the general rules of thumb for Internet service everywhere, regardless of geography:

Fiber to the home will always be the most reliable and fastest option. Choose that if it is available.

DSL is the most reliable second choice after fiber but speeds over 50Mbps are rare. However, this will only be a problem if you need to stream multiple 4K videos simultaneously or have other specialized needs.

Cable is faster than DSL (often as fast as fiber in the download direction) but is notorious for low upload speeds and unreliability.

Internet over 4G cellular is available in many places where hardwired Internet service is not an option, but it is very expensive.

What @middleofnowhere said above is correct.

What options do you have available in your area? Check by going to the providers website so for example Bell see what speeds are available and also your cable provider.

According to Bell's website, it will be FTNN and showed a 10 Mbps plan...who would sign up for that?

DSL can't be done in our household unfortunately. Miss having it a million years ago.

So it looks like it's cable.

If its only 10 Mbps max speed that's available to you then that's not very fast and you may need to look into Cable Internet for something faster.

FTTN is DSL, or VDSL.

Get both. Cancel one.
Just make sure you don't sign a 2 year.

Even if I was your neighbor it'd be impossible to know what the line conditions are for your particular house.
Do you not have anything else to do rather than argue with strangers on the internet
Nope. That's why I'm on the internet arguing with strangers. If I had anything better to do I'd probably be doing it.
