For me, I personally find it usually is about $10 in delivery fees eg delivery fee, service charge, + tip add up to about $10. So when they say save up to a maximum of $15 (I've never gotten 75% max $25 before), its really only $5 savings. I personally would rather go pick it up myself rather than pay $10 in delivery fees (delivery + service + tip). My orders are usually only for 2 people

Actually its not 20ish. For example I got the 75% coupon last week up to a maximum of $15.
If I place an order for $20 it would work out to the following:
Food Order: $20
Service Fee: $2
Delivery Fee: $4
Tax: $1.30
Total: $27.30 - $15 Coupon = 12.30
If you add a $2 tip (10%) then you are now at $14.30
If you had picked up that order yourself which would probably be cheaper at the restaurant ($17 plus tax) $17.85.
At the end of the day the coupon saves you $3.55 (not 20ish).

I wasn’t talking about last weeks promo. This week, it’s max $25DoubleJ5 wrote: ↑ Actually its not 20ish. For example I got the 75% coupon last week up to a maximum of $15.

Ok let me update the numbers for you. It's still not 20ish. Using 75% coupon up to a maximum of $25.
If I place an order for $33.33 it would work out to the following:
Food Order: $33.33
Service Fee: $3.33
Delivery Fee: $4
Tax: $2.03
Total: $42.69 - $25 Coupon = 17.69
If you add a $4 tip then you are now at $21.69
If you had picked up that order yourself which would probably be cheaper at the restaurant since Uber menus are inflated ($28 plus tax) $29.40.
At the end of the day the coupon saves you $7.71 (not 20ish).

Don’t be comparing with ordering directly from the restaurant. This is only about spending the extra $5-8ish for delivery or boycotting using Uber until they offer pickup orders again with the 75% promo

From all the restaurants close to me (that have $2-4 delivery fee), I can't get the full $25 savings due to all the service fees, 30% markup from restaurants for posting on Uber, and then the tax on the final total (before discount). Most I've managed to see is $5-7 off from if I go to pick up. I'll skip it until they start offering pickup again.

Not to mention having it delivered!
Don't get me wrong, some of these UberEats promos are turds. But some still work out nice even after then fees.

"Select" restaurants is a big gotcha this time. It didn't work for any of good places near me. Only worked for some hugely overpriced mediocre places. And McDonald's.

I don't disagree with the savings or the convenience of the delivery. I was only showcasing that its not actually 20ish in savings as the guy was claiming.JRGUINNESS wrote: ↑ You are still saving $7.
