The higher sales velocity probably helps those courses rank higher in the Udemy search results, which eventually leads to more $$$ overall for the course authors when the courses are not free.

Obligatory shill for VGRO - The one and done ETF for all your investing needs if you just want to be a couch potato!

Udemy is actually a great example of why e-learning isn't as good as classroom learning. The vast majority of people who get anything from this thread will watch maybe a fifth of the course and then never come back to it.

It's the dream - that if you only understood enough about the stock market, there's a magic analysis you could apply to a set of numbers reported by professional liars (corporate CFOs) that would ensure that you consistently make money in the stock market. :)

Nevertheless, it's good to have some idea what you're doing if you plan to invest in stocks so that you don't lose a ton of money through ignorance. They should really teach this stuff in a basic finance class for high-school students. Thanks for posting OP!
