Yes, cards can be redeemed at Sobeys, IGA (except some IGA locations in BC), Garden Market IGA, Foodland, Safeway, FreshCo, Chalo! FreshCo, Thrifty Foods, Lawtons Drugs, Needs and Fast Fuel locations across Canada.

Cards can be redeemed at Sobeys, IGA, Garden Market IGA, Foodland, Safeway, FreshCo, Chalo! FreshCo, Thrifty Foods, Lawtons Drugs, Needs and Fast Fuel locations across Canada.

I think no business allows to buy other business gc using their gc. Not sure if any business allows it.

I had success at London Drugs, and RCSS buying other retailers gc's with the store's gc's. I don't know about now.

That's not true. You can use the UGO Sobeys gift card to buy any other gift card they sell (just not more Sobey's gift cards).
For example, you cannot use your 100 UGO card to buy 2x50 Safeway gift cards at Safeway.
But you CAN use your 100 UGO gift card to buy a 100 Amazon gift card at Safeway.

You cannot use GC through Voila. I tried to use them before but they said NO

Personal experience:

1. Used FreshCo Ugo GC to buy Esso gift cards at FreshCo
2. Used FreshCo Ugo GC to reload PayPower Mastercard at Safeway

I expect Sobeys GC to be identical in usage

This is really YMMV or say depends. A lot of places had trained their cashier that buying GC with GC is NOT allowed, but I have quite some success experience to do so (use Sobeys GC to buy Shell/Esso GC). Even at same place, "new" cashier will allow me while "experienced" won't. However, I'm very sure their system allow it, it all depends on the people.

If their system is allowing then we can do it at self checkout which can eliminate identifying whether cashier is experienced or new.
