Guys.. I want everyone to be safe..

But personally.. I think level 2 surgical masks are most cost efficient and protective..

Personally I ignore the droplet effectiness as personally I feel corvid19 spreads way more than that. More evidence shows it is transmitted through aerosol.

So surgical mask are still higher protection for aerosol than cotton. Use cotton if outdoor or you know you will not be close to anyone. Surgical mask if going to stores or especially public washrooms. Of course n95 is best but I leave that out of discussion as you shouldn't be reusing them and they cost a lot more.

Most comfortable masks I've worn. I can wear them my whole shift without taking them off. I have a coworker who bought one size too small. Once they got the right size, they also loved it. What I like is the cool touch fabric. Even after wearing it for hours, the fabric still feels nice. My face isn't sweating and no mask imprints on my face like the typical surgical masks. Also gym friendly for light workouts

You can buy directly from Tilley, believe those are made in Canada (Unsure about origin of fabric)

The Uniqlo masks had a LOT of hype and anticipation prior to being released due to them being one of the first big brands to promise a breathable, comfortable 3-layer mask. They tapped into their Airism fabric line to create something and was one of the first to market. The reviews were mediocre though (Pressures of designing something too fast). Supposedly they have made a version 2.0 of the masks that are getting better reviews.

These should be the version 2.0 ones, as the first version sold out immediately and they went to improve it shortly thereafter

Correct. Any Uniqlo mask manufactured in July 2020 or later is the 2nd generation.

After wearing this, I don't feel any burning sensation in my throat.
I do like the design of this mask & might as well get it. Being 3 layers, It's probably as effective as a disposable non medical mask (not very effective but fine for normal day wear).

Thing is, if this mask made your throat better, you should get an allergy test. This mask can block macro particles such as pollen but it cannot block any micro chemicals.

For those who don't know: Uniqlo is a Japanese company.

20 wash is probably when they can guarantee filter working. Just like how n95 mask will block better than disposable mask even after multiple uses but won't be as effective in blocking fine dusts. (This mask is no where close to n95 btw. N95 are powerful.)

Any family doctor can get the allergy test done or at least refer you. If you throat has been hurting a while til you put the mask on, go talk to your family doctor and ask for an allergy test.

If you never had this problem and only recently due to the wildfire smoke drifting into Vancouver. I wouldn't worry about it. If it is persistent you go to family doctor and if required refer you to ENT. You shouldn't be going out much if possible with that poor air quality anyways..

My bad. Yeah if indeed OP is in Vancouver, allergy test may not be needed.
I'm in Toronto & air quality isn't that bad. That's why I suggested it. Sorry about that.
