When you don't often get a chance to travel and you can finally afford to take your family of 4 on a trip, the 16 hours (although extremely dreadful) is a small price to pay

this isn’t a great deal because swoop and other lcc won’t be much more, however, if you are trying to get status with star alliance and need more aqs this might be useful for someone

thanks for posting

Tempted if I travel solo and dirt poor. Travel as a family of 4 ( with kids) would be an "unforgettable" journey even after they grow up and much talked about for years (if you know what I mean Smirking Face).

Yeah but for around 60 bucks per person, you get shorter connections on a 1 stop.

Yeah people should understand that time is more valuable than money, just saying..

I paid 240 on swoop. Outside of a one hour delay on the return I would say pretty smooth.

No thanks. Traveling is already a complete nightmare with constant delays and lost baggage everywhere, it'll be worth the extra 100-200 just to go direct.

Wonder how long those stops are. Didn’t do the search but with 2 stops it’ll risky.

A) luggage won’t make it
B) miss connections because of delays esp during winter

Cold deal. Swoop has roundtrips from Toronto for ~$315. Of course it's Swoop and there aren't as many daily flights if something does go wrong, but still, $395 w/ 2 stops is hardly a deal.

As a family with 2 small kids, no way I'd do a flight of 16hrs. Even if it was $100/ticket.

It may be two more stopovers but you get so many points and free snacks.

I paid $440 return for a direct flight from Halifax to Cancun. THIS is no deal, probably divorce would follow this itinerary :)

Anyone with a family should really consider a direct flight... I can't imaging connecting, nevermind twice with a traveling entourage.

Alright family of 4 double red eye back to back flight story time..

My kids were 3 and 1, obvious was with the wife cause I'm not batshit crazy.

MTL->KEF (Iceland)
9pm to 6am
Rented a car, did the Golden circle, left same day.
KEF->CPH (Copenhagen)
1am to 6am
Then proceeded to take the train to Sweden for a quick 2 day visit. Went back to Copenhagen for a few days. Took the train to Germany for a week or so, flew back to Copenhagen to fly back home.

It was awesome and we have great memories.
Mind you we are a family of 5 now so we're not completely sane..

First world problems (literally time in this case) are pretty sad in the grand scheme of things. Long transfers or multiple transfers shouldn't stop you from having a good time. This looks to be close to 50% off pp when checking a few dates on flighthub.
Not a fan of Newart but it is what it is.
