Uppababy Price Increase - July 16?

West Coast Kids posted that Uppababy pricing is going up on July 16. I can’t find information anywhere and retailers haven’t been helpful over the phone. Does anyone have any information on this or what to expect from previous price increases?

Update: Looks like the Cruz is increasing by $58, Mesa by $58 and Vista by $98, from what I've been able to gather. Apparently the rumbleseat and other car seats are also impacted. Increase due to covid freight increases to Canada.

Anyone know if the Vista is worth it compared to the City Select Lux? Debating between the two and this price increase is putting pressure to decide (though not due until the end of the year). It's more expensive but is it much better?

Same boat as you. Due in December but not sure if I should buy the Vista now. I did tons of research on strollers and I think Vista is pretty much a solid buy. Don't think you'll be disappointed. But i guess the question becomes if you should buy now or wait.

I’d look secondhand if you can. I had a Vista (secondhand) and didn’t really see the hype. It was heavy and cumbersome to dismantle each time I put it away in the trunk. I would gravitate towards my smaller travel system a lot more because it was easier to open up/fold up than the Vista. Ended up selling the Vista for as much as I paid for it since I used it so infrequently.

To bad about the price increase but there are so many comparable brands/models nowadays.

I spent a decent amount of time polling friends and family who bought the Vista in the last 2-3 years and now have a second kid. Personally, we're heavily debating between the Cruz and Vista. Originally we were leaning towards the Vista for the double feature but from the sounds of it, not many have actually used it as a double. They found that adding the rumble seat was awkward, the configurations overall were awkward, and their toddler almost outgrew the stroller (2 - 2.5 years old). Many said that the stroller is heavy and big and a pain to pull out of the car. With this, we're going to go with the Cruz V2 with the upgraded suspension and bigger wheels. Many said they would have done the Cruz back then but it lacked the suspension and wheels. For the double feature, many suggested that they use a wagon now or bought a BOB and love it. Thought to share!

We're due in December and the Cruz increase is $58. We live in a condo with not much storage space so I think we'll hold off on purchasing and keep a look out for a Black Friday sale (or Rexall Indigo Gift Card sale!). No sense in holding an item for 5 months. The Vista is going up $95 and might be worth purchasing now. To note, the Vista is part of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale in the US in navy and is expected to be on sale in Canada (sneak peek is on Monday for pricing) but I believe was $240 off. Note, the navy colour isn't a standard colour and may be a Nordstrom exclusive for the sale. Finn colour is not increasing in price!

There was no link on Tuesday. Retailers found out about the increase on Monday and some withheld the information to not cause a panic buy. WCK had posted to Instagram (with limited details, other than "buy buy buy! prices going up") and Snugglebugz sent an email yesterday. Looks like the Cruz is increasing by $58, Mesa by $58 and Vista by $98, from what I've been able to gather. Apparently the rumbleseat and other car seats are also impacted. Increase due to covid freight increases to Canada.

Thank you! Reading this, and then going to a store and trying them out, I've decided on the Cruz too. Will keep an eye out for a Black Friday sale since I'm not due until Jan. 1 anyway, and you're totally right — in my small apartment, it's worth the risk of paying $58 extra to not have to store it until then.
