US short trip: Cell phone plan?

Hi!
I'm with public mobile and they offer expensive US roaming...

Is there cheaper option for 4 day trip? Do they have some prepaid Sim cards that I can by at Target? Or something on eBay? Mostly need data for maps and googling :)

Thanks

Public Mobile has free roaming, but the charge for data. However, for a 4 day trip, 1GB should be more than enough for Maps, Email etc.

I am not a 100% about this, but I believe any unused roaming data can be saved for later trips too

Incoming SMS while roaming in the US is free

All U.S. Roaming Add-Ons will last 10 days. This 10-day period begins when you pay for the Add-On and ends 10 days later from the time that the Add-On was purchased.

I just used the text and voice roaming add-on for us, first day was glitchy with message bounce backs, second day was fine. My backup was tbaytel, that came to bite me,Face With Tears Of JoyFace With Tears Of JoyFace With Tears Of Joy

If you have an eSim compatible phone, look into Dent. A friend can send you an email and if you sign up with it, you get 1GB free and ability to add more data regularly (100 MB every 5 days and up to 1GB by doing daily spins). The data has a 365 day expiry.
