Long time visitor but first post.

For those who have access to USA, this is a great deal on a great TV.

Not available yet in Canada so not sure about warranty here.

Shows a list price of $1999.99 with a discount of $1000.00 for a low $999.99 (US$)

$20 shipping in USA - doesn’t ship directly to Canada

Was this price a few weeks ago but borders are/were still closed to most car trips, otherwise I would have ordered one.

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/tcl-65-cla ... Id=6377895

Also shows open box for $649. To $949.

Thoughts?

Thoughts? Can't go to the States. Can't get it shipped to Canada. Warranty will not be in effect in Canada.

No deal for 99.9% of us.

I have used mymallbox.com with no problems

And yes, shipping may not be cheap for a TV of this size but you can’t get this TV any other way - for now.

Still requires you to self quarantine for 2 weeks, no?

At least you’ll have a great TV to watch for those 2 weeks!

Only those visiting family members can cross land borders. I know that for some of us our TVs are like family members but it would be a stretch to use that as a reason to cross the border. Face With Tears Of Joy

They're a forwarding business. They'll receive in the US, then drive it over for you to pickup in 2 locations in Toronto. I believe they're operating. They reopened over a month ago if I recall.

Me too. :)

Can we still buy warranty at costco for TVs bought from other retailers?

Unfortunately, we can not do that.

I guess costco put a stop on that practice. I read in the past a few were successful doing that. But that was three to four years ago haha.

US also has the H9G (Q9G) for $900, I've resolved that we'll never get those prices.

Best we can do is wait for TCL 6 2020, $1300 preorder from BB (says Oct. release)

So sub-$2,000 CAD for the 55" when it goes on sale? What would be your trigger price for the 55" ($1,299) or 65" ($1,999 USD)?

Because I can not and wouldn't go across the border for a TV to save some money without warranty even the TCL was USD$500.
