USB-C data/power breakout/passthrough cable?
There are a lot of USB hubs that plug into a USB-C port, breaking out to USB-A female connectors and include a USB-C input for power passthrough so you can charge your device while using USB-A-attached peripherals. However has anyone seen this for USB-C-attached peripherals? Even better if it was just a small Y-cable rather than a full dongle.
My laptop has one USB-C port and I recently got a 2.5" drive enclosure that uses USB-C. I was hoping to use this directly with the USB-C port on my laptop, but then there is no way to charge the computer while the external drive is plugged in. Instead i have to use a USB-C to USB-A single with power passthrough and plug the drive into the single using a USB-C to USB-A cable. I'd like to just use a single USB-C cable instead.
Seems like something people would need given how many ultrabooks are coming out with USB-C charging?
