HI, what is the best way to convert 8k USD to CAD, banks charge a hefty amount to do that, thanks

Use Transferwise.com, huge business, exchange at par, only charge minimal 0.5% fee, I use them all the time. Last time took 1 day to send GBP from UK to USD into my Canadian USD account, great service!

Just curious - do you have this money in cash or is it sitting in a bank account? If it is a bank account, is it a Canadian or foreign bank account?
