Use Rechargeable CR2 Battery for Alarm Sensor?

Some of the door alarm sensors in my parents’ house use the non-rechargeable CR2 lithium 3V battery. They’ve lasted 3 years since the last replacement.

As I’m searching online for a replacement, I found some rechargeable CR2 3V batteries. Would these work?

Depends how many amps. Look at the amps too.

Recharagables usually have a lower amp rating.

I would just buy the batteries. If they last three years, that’s pretty good.

Thanks for the input guys. Just going to tell them to grab the non rechargeable ones for about $6/piece.
