Used the Amex Gold free year. Now what?

Hey guys !

I found the Amex gold card deal on this forum. It’s been a year now. Should I swap to a different Amex credit card now ? I don’t know if I can justify paying the $150 fee this year.

Any other deals. Any ideas?

Thanks !

Given the recent AMEX Shut downs, if you want to maintain a relationship with Amex, best to renew that card and be in their good books. If not, just cancel.

I switched from Gold to Cobalt

Even using it for statement credit works out to 3.5 % cashback

You won't be able to switch and keep your credit history on Equifax Transunion with them even though your next card will have a "member since *date you got your first amex" I just cancelled Cobalt to get free simply cash card found out the hard way despite 3 agents telling me to do it. One WB per card per lifetime is still a thing despite the shutdowns, move onto another product cancel existing product or move onto another bank and take a 6 month to 1 year break from amex best bet

Hold up here.
Are you saying you switched a Gold charge card to a credit card, without a new application?
Literally a product switch?
