Using CC buy a car, will I get points/rewards?

Booked a car and will pay about 4000 for the down payment. I have cash in my account so that repayment is not an issue. If I pay with credit card, will I get rewards/points? The CC we have right now:
RBC Avion Visa
RBC Cash Back Mastercard
CIBC capital one master card (the costco card).

Updated with more details. We already paid deposit and waited for about half year. The deposit was paid with CC and the sales suggested us to pay with CC at that time for collecting points/cash back. That's why I have this question now.

Thanks.

Yes, however generally the discount you get from paying cash to the dealership will save you more money than typical Cashback on the "other" category.

I don't know how much "a few thousand" is, but it's certainly going to be enough to meet MSR for some cards. Why not go after some SUB on cards? To go after WB on a large, short-term purchase is ideal since the purchase is actually organic.

Max amount Toyota would allow was $1,500.00 on a credit card.
The rest is certified cheque or bank draft.

I can't see any dealer accepting full payment of a car via CC.

Dream On.
It isn't going to happen.

My roofer took 10K on credit card which surprised me.
Unusual.

Always worth asking but improbable.

Most dealerships have a limit you can put on your credit card. My experience has been a limit of CAD$2000 when I use my credit card at these places.

I have only encountered one dealer where it seemed I could pay with an unlimited amount going on my credit card. That was a motorcycle dealership in central Alberta.

Many (most?) dealerships will allow you to pay the security deposit on a credit card. The amount will vary, but I was able to pay $2,500 on a credit card a few years back.

Not talking deposit... I think OP is talking about buying fully on credit card...

we're all multi-millionaires on RFD... "A few thousands" could be $150,000

We have already negotiated the price and will do car loan. The amount I am talking about is the down payment left (4K).

It is not the full payment. We will do car loan on top of a trade-in of the old car. This is the down payment after deposite.
