Using an enterprise discount code to rent a car in EU... can they refuse to provide the service at the destination?

I am renting via enterprise.ca
Without the discount code the price is like double
I am using a discount code provided internally by our company. The company is specifically advising us that the code is for leisure so there is obviously a code like this provided by Enterprise.ca to our company for this purpose
The price is unbelievable compared with the non-discounted price and with like 700CAD for an economy car Europecar or similar) for 9 days vs 341CAD for an economy with Enterprise.ca

In case if they refuse to provide the car at this price what options do I have?

They may ask for proof of eligibility, or otherwise charge you full retail price.

Provided you actually qualify for the rate, you don't have to worry about anything. Just bring something proving you work for your employer.

Of course they can deny you especially if you don't have the proper credentials that qualifies you for the rate.

If they couldn't, then what's the point of these codes for certain organization/uses?

As for what you can do, many people when using codes they know they don't qualify for make backup reservation elsewhere. Your post implies you qualify, so bring identification that shows you qualify as well?

I don't have a problem to prove I work for my employer
I can make the reservation using my work email, take the badge with me, show the the company paid for heath insurance etc etc
All I need to know is if they do honor these reservations as the price is almost too good to be true

As others have said, if you qualify, it'll be honoured. End of story.

Corporate rates are like that, often a lot lower than public rates.
Not to worry, I use mine with National (an Enterprise company) all the time.
No issues.

They won't deny you, corporate rates and business travel are the bread and butter for rental car companies, far more important than leisure travel - but the lower the rate, the more stringent you can expect them to be in terms of asking for proof of eligibility, etc.

I wonder who Enterprise uses. Europcar? I've never seen an Enterprise location in Europe but haven't been there for over 6 years now. Then again I have not seen Europcar in North America but see them offer rental locations at airports I fly through/to.
I smile when I see container ships sailing past my house laden with stuff made in China

When I rented in Spain five years ago it was an Enterprise location - though I actually booked it on the National Car Rental website (Enterprise owns National) because for some reason it came out far cheaper than booking directly.

If you qualify you won’t have issues OP.

I use the airline employee discount that’s pretty much offered among all car rental agencies. I’ve used it all over the world in places my airline doesn’t fly. Also have used for great discounts during peak seasons and never ever had a problem even though the majority of the time my husband is the one who’s driving and his name is on the reservation (not me, the actual airline employee).
