Using a Stud Finder to block police radar

Hello everyone!

This may be a stupid question, but I’ve been seeing a lot of this online recently. Is it true that by placing a stud finder on your dash, in the centre of your windshield, you can block an officers radar gun from grabbing your vehicle’s speed? Any further insight on this would be appreciated.

Thanks!

No way in hell a stud finder is going to interfere with a LIDAR gun.

Wait, is this a troll thread?

Are you insane?
A radar gun uses radar beams to measure your speed, a stud finder uses capacitance to look for density changes to about 1 inch

It would make sense to learn how things work so you don't fall for pathetic scams like this.

I dont know about blocking a speed radar but if you are in GTA the stud finder works amazing as a 407 transponder replacement. You should try it too.

I think OP means radar detectors are like stud finders. The look similar, and they make beepy noises during detection. Why not tape one to your dash lol.

If it is was that easy the US air force would have one tenth the budget it does. Laser tracking systems are hard to defeat.
