Value of this laptop?

My wife is leaving her job and her employer was kind enough to let her keep her laptop which is much nicer than her old personal laptop and we are looking to sell it. I know the value of it isn't going to be much but would love some advice on what a fair asking price would be for it.

It is the following:
Asus X555L
CPU: Intel Core i5-5200U
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce 930M (2GB DDR3)
Display: 15.6”, HD (1366 x 768), TN
Storage: 1000GB HDD
RAM: 1x 4GB DDR3
Weight: 2.30 kg (5.1 lbs)

Thoughts? Again I realize it's not a great laptop but whatever we can get will be spent on something for our 11 month old daughter so would love a reasonable price to sell it for.

$200 or $250 tops?

Not very attractive because of poor display by today's standards and old CPU.

Value is what somebody is prepared to pay.

Thanks for the advice. I wasn't sure if I should be asking $50 or something else. Ha ha. I know it's not much of a computer at all but just wanted to make sure I don't sell myself too short on it.

Well after some advice on the first laptop I am now looking to sell her other laptop as I recently upgraded my Macbook Pro and she took my old one.

Any advice on a rough idea what I should ask for the following laptop:

HP Elitebook Folio 9470m (actual specs seem to be slightly upgraded from what this review says however it is the correct model)
CPU: Intel Core i7-3687U @ 2.10GHz (2.60GHz) -- Not sure what that second value means?
RAM: 12Gb
HDD: 512Gb
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 4000
OS: Fresh install of Windows 10

I'd say ask for $200-250... and settle for $175ish on the low end

That's about what I'd ask for both.
The HP maybe a hair higher due to RAM but even then RAM is cheap.
HDD is probably a hard drive too not an SSD which doesn't help.

That was my guess for both as well. The HP elitebook folio maybe $300 if you're lucky just because it has more ram and is an elitebook. Just post it and wait for someone to bite, if not, go a little lower and repeat the process. Expect lots of lowballers offering $50 and demanding you deliver, no joke, it will happen on Kijiji.

Check out some of the refurb prices from Bauer and Infotech, most of the old business grade laptops seem to hover between $200-300 ... keep in mind that's refurbished with a limited warranty, private sale will likely be lower depending how desperate buyers are.
